Learn more about USP/Esalq and Pecege
Esalq (Luiz de Queiroz) is the campus of USP (University of São Paulo) in Piracicaba/SP, however, its history begins long before the university’s inauguration in 1901, when it officially started its activities as an agricultural school under the administration of the Department of Agriculture of the State of São Paulo. Starting in 1934, it started to integrate USP as one of its founding units. Its name honors its idealizer, Luiz Vicente de Souza Queiroz.
MBAs USP/Esalq are Lato sensu graduate courses coordinated by USP/Esalq professors and operated by Pecege, through a partnership with the Luiz de Queiroz Agrarian Studies Foundation (Fealq). In 2003, Pecege was born in Esalq/USP as an extension group and, in 2013, it became an institute with the mission of democratizing knowledge to contribute to economic, social and cultural development.
